Late Work

Late Work

Absences: If you are missing work because you were absent, you have the same amount of days you were absent to make up the work. For example, if you were absent three days in a row, you would have three days from the day you came back to school (not including weekends) to make up the work.

Missing Work: If you are missing work because you simply did not turn it in, I take off 10 points for every day it’s late. For example, the first day it’s late you lose 10 points and the highest grade you can get is a 90%, the second day is 20 points off and the highest grade you can get it an 80%, the third day is 30 points off and the highest you can get is a 70%, etc. After being five days (one week) late, the grade will stay at a 50% even if you turn it in weeks later. I always accept late work as long as it is still within the same 6-weeks.

Making up Homework assignments (No Red Ink and Membean): No Red Ink can be made up on the student’s own time. When finished, the student must email me and let me know they completed a late NRI assignment so that I know to go pull a grade for them. To make up a Membean 0%, the student must come in for tutoring and log 30 minutes on Membean. At that point I will replace the 0% for a 60%.
